Open data is a special type of syndicated data that sources data from open datasets made available on the internet by organizations such as governments, NGOs, research organizations and others.
The open data datasets are managed by the system and marked for public access which means that they will appear available to every Rational BI account.
Rational BI monitors open data sources on the internet and will refresh datasets to keep them in synchronization with source data. In certain circumstances, datasets may be removed from Rational BI if source data is deleted by the publisher (such as when data is retracted).
For more information about using open data in your reporting see using open data.
